Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau has been providing advice and information to the people of Aberdeen for over 80 years.
Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau gives all clients free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a wide range of subjects, including:
Benefits: questions about entitlements, support with applications and appeals against unfair decisions
Debt advice: how to manage your debts, improve your financial situation and maximize your income (the debt service is funded for people living in Aberdeen City only)
Employment: questions about terms and conditions, dismissal, redundancy, intimidation and unfair dismissal
Immigration: from EU workers to asylum seekers
Consumer Issues: everything from broken kettles to difficulties with gas and electricity suppliers
Relationships: issues relating to splitting up, children, and bereavement
Housing: your rights
Clients facing homelessness and eviction should contact Shelter.

We are currently providing advice by telephone and email, with Face to Face interviews only arranged where no other means of communication is possible.

You can attend the Bureau at 41 Union Street, Aberdeen, AB11 5BN between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
However you contact us, your details will be taken and you will be added to our waiting list to be called by an Adviser.
In the last few months we have been overwhelmed by the number of clients seeking advice. Current waiting time to be contacted is between 3 and 4 weeks.
We hope to restart the Benefits and Money Advice Outreach Program in the Powis, Torry, Mastrick, Woodside and Northfield areas in the near future. It will be updated here.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and in compliance with the Government recommendations, the Drop-In service at Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau has been suspended until further notice.
